How fire safety is enforced in Stoke-on-Trent
Stoke-on-Trent is covered by Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service. In the year to March 2025 it carried out 511 fire safety audits, and 10.2% found premises unsatisfactory: the second-lowest rate in England.

How often should fire safety training be repeated?
Annual refresher training is appropriate for most premises. New starters should receive induction training before they take up their role. When the building's evacuation procedure changes, all staff should be retrained on the new procedure.
