How fire safety is enforced in Manchester
Manchester is covered by Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service. In the year to March 2025 it carried out 1,781 fire safety audits, and 41.2% found premises unsatisfactory: close to the England average.

How often should fire safety training be repeated?
Annual refresher training is appropriate for most premises. New starters should receive induction training before they take up their role. When the building's evacuation procedure changes, all staff should be retrained on the new procedure.
